Primary Function The Supervisor of Customer Information Quality will lead a team of Quality Analyst that perform quality audits and lead quality process improvements.
Supported by Researchers, Customer Information Analysts, Process Engineers, Technology Developers, and Business Leaders, this role will foster a culture of continuous improvement that embraces quality assurance, problem-solving, and waste elimination.
By making actionable customer information available, we help Grainger market, sell, and deliver the best products and solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
Main Duties & Responsibilities Leads the quality team to the completion of a weekly 10% random audit with location review triggers.
Leads production capacity planning activities to ensure the quality team delivers on audit and project expectations.
Contributes to research, audit, and analysis – helping Grainger get to know our customers and how we can fulfill their MRO needs.
Defines and leads rework process and monitors quality auditor feedback and ensures team is meeting feedback and turnaround time expectations.
Leads continuous improvement projects to improve quality and efficiency of audit processes.
Monitors quality KPI's and leads team through deep dive data analysis to identify potential root causes.
Leads team to continuously improve quality by using the team's standard quality management project management framework.
Teaches the team to actively identify opportunities to eliminate process waste, aggregate tasks, optimize activities, and automate steps.
Creates a culture of continuous improvement that is based on standard work and embraces the cycle of problem identification, problem-solving, and process control.
Collaborates with customer information design, operations, and key stakeholders across Grainger to maximize quality by defining data standards, standard operating procedures, and enhancing CI governance framework.
Supports and delivers relevant training programs that drive improved quality and efficiency.
Partners with Sr. Operations Analyst to build and improve quality standard reporting.
Presents and shares work with customer information design, operations, leaders, and key stakeholders Partners with Technology Developers to transform the way that the Customer Information Quality team completes their work.
Education & Experience BA/BS or equivalent preferred.
3-5 years of experience in related field preferred.
Intense curiosity about Grainger's customers and business – the MRO market must be a genuine source of interest for a candidate to thrive in the role  Deep understanding of Customer Information Research processes and procedures.
Advanced technical skills with proficiency using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint) and SQL (Snowflake).
Uses data to prioritize activities, sequence tasks, and allocate the appropriate number of resources to the work team tackles  Critical thinking and listening skills to holistically understand what we must accomplish, drive consensus, and create a compelling vision for the future  Can use informal leadership to influence decision-makers within the Customer Information team and across the Grainger organization  Desire to develop additional technical and quantitative skills  Clear written and visual communication  Bilingual (English/Spanish- read, write, speak)  Thorough, thoughtful online research   Grainger is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
