This position supports operations across two locations, ensuring efficient parts and materials management for technicians.
Position Overview: The Marine Parts Operations Manager oversees the supply chain and inventory management for marine service operations.
The role requires expertise in ordering, tracking, and maintaining inventory for repairs, along with a deep understanding of the marine industry.
Key Responsibilities: Order parts and supplies for upcoming services and repair orders.
Manage inventory levels and ensure timely resupply.
Handle warranty refunds and returns with vendors.
Build estimates and assist technicians with information and support.
Verify parts and labor charges before submission for billing.
Monitor and improve department profitability and efficiency.
Prepare detailed itemized repair estimates and transition to work orders upon customer approval.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Experience in the marine industry (particularly with pleasure craft (20-49' gas inboard or outboard engines)) or related industries Knowledge of brands like Mercury, Yamaha, Honda, Evinrude/Johnson, and Suzuki is highly desirable.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency; all specialized tools will be taught.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and support technicians effectively.
Nice-to-Haves: Prior experience managing parts for marine or mechanical industries.
Familiarity with vendor relations and warranty processes.
