Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Hotel Company Controller to join a growing team.
This key role will oversee financial management, reporting, and compliance to ensure the companys financial health.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in hospitality finance, USALI, and GAAP standards, with a background in hotel management accounting.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Management and Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Develop budgets and forecasts for underwriting, acquisitions, and operations.
Conduct variance analyses and provide actionable insights.
Accounting Oversight: Manage accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions.
Ensure accurate reconciliations and payroll processing.
Maintain compliance with GAAP standards and internal controls.
Cash Flow and Investor Relations: Manage funds for acquisitions, renovations, and operations.
Track loan servicing and compliance with lender requirements.
Prepare investor reports detailing metrics like RevPAR, NOI, and occupancy rates.
Strategic Financial Support: Align financial goals with operational strategies for stabilization and growth.
Identify and execute cost management initiatives.
Systems and Collaboration: Implement and optimize accounting systems tailored to company needs.
Work closely with underwriting, operations, and legal teams to ensure financial strategies align with business objectives.
Key Metrics: RevPAR (Revenue per Available Room) NOI (Net Operating Income) Occupancy Rates Debt Coverage Ratios Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller in the hospitality industry.
Expertise in USALI and GAAP accounting standards.
Proficiency with QuickBooks, payroll software, and hotel management systems.
Experience with extended-stay rental models and turnaround projects.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
