Purpose of the Position The Funding Manager will drive CADENA's strategic funding initiatives with a focus on the U.S. and international markets.
The role requires a dynamic, relationship-oriented professional capable of engaging family foundations, corporations, individual donors, and organizing high-profile fundraising events.
This leader will play a pivotal role in building long-term financial sustainability for CADENA, securing unrestricted funds for emergency responses, education programs, and operational stability Key Responsibilities Fundraising Strategy & Diversification • Develop and implement a comprehensive international fundraising strategy to diversify CADENA's income streams.
• Prioritize the acquisition of unrestricted funds to ensure agility in emergency response and operational needs.
• Identify and engage family foundations, corporate donors, and private philanthropists, particularly in the United States.
• Lead the planning and execution of high-impact fundraising events (galas, auctions, concerts) in key markets.
• Lead the design and implementation of crowdfunding campaigns and other digital fundraising strategies to engage a broader, global donor base.
Relationship Building and Strategic Alliances • Establish and maintain relationships with corporate partners, family foundations, and major donors to build CADENA's funding base.
• Cultivate ties within the Jewish philanthropic community as a strategic avenue for funding and partnership opportunities.
• Represent CADENA at key networking events to enhance visibility and foster partnerships.
Grant Acquisition and Monitoring • Research, identify, and apply for grant opportunities from governmental and private sources.
• Ensure proper monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of grant-funded projects.
Leadership and Capacity Building • Provide fundraising training and capacity-building support to CADENA's country offices, enabling them to strengthen local fundraising capabilities.
• Coordinate with international teams to align fundraising efforts and share best practices.
Emergency Activation • Lead the rapid activation of fundraising campaigns during disasters or humanitarian crises to secure immediate funds for response efforts.
Requirements and competences to work with us Studies • Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, International Relations, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred (e.g., International Development, Fundraising, Social Impact, or Business Administration).
Experience • 5+ years of professional experience in fundraising, development, or strategic alliances, with a proven track record of raising at least $1–2 million USD annually.
• Demonstrated success engaging with family foundations, major donors, corporate sponsors, and organizing high-profile fundraising events.
• Strong experience in the U.S. philanthropic landscape, including familiarity with invitation-only funding opportunities.
• Knowledge of the Jewish philanthropic community considered a significant plus.

• Strategic Vision: Strong ability to develop and execute long-term fundraising strategies aligned with organizational goals.

• Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.
Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Results-Oriented: Track record of achieving ambitious fundraising goals while maintaining strong ethical standards.
• Commercial Acumen: Creativity and innovation in identifying diverse funding opportunities, including disruptive and non-traditional approaches.
