Primary Function The Financial Services and Treasury (FST) Process Analyst at Grainger defines, documents, and assesses business processes to identify areas for improvement.
The Process Analyst plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive support to the Financial Services and Treasury departments, including Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Accounts Receivable, Credit, Billing, Collections, and Treasury.
This position requires a proactive and independent professional with strong decision-making skills, focused on streamlining operations and increasing operational productivity.
Operational Support: Provide support to Financial Services and Treasury functions, ensuring smooth operations across Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Accounts Receivable, Credit, Billing, and Collections.
Problem Solving: Independently identify, analyze, and resolve issues to maintain workflow efficiency and effectiveness.
Continuous Improvement: Focus on identifying opportunities for system and process enhancements to improve performance and functionality, supporting the department in achieving its goals.
Process Analysis: Analyze, evaluate, and recommend new business processes and systems to ensure FST remains competitive and efficient.
Implementation: Lead the implementation of new processes and systems, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to daily operations.
Main duties and responsibilities Subject Matter Expert for process questions and performs problem research and resolution.
Promotes solution-oriented thinking to foster process-centric environment at Grainger Participates in CI initiatives Participates and/or coordinates required design documentation and facilitates with the implementation of new processes.
Works with the Leadership Team to identify and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
Provides support and integrates the FST Business Continuity plans for the functional areas and various sites to ensure plans are in place, executable, and are in line with the overall Company plan.
Participates in code red system emergency calls and/or crisis situations to quickly identify, define, and implement workaround processes, corrective actions, communication, and system stabilization activities, as required.
Focuses on process standardization and maintains process documentation and job aids.
May assist with the communication of new processes and training.
Develop and maintains Sharepoint and website sites and structures to ensure consistency amongst FST.
Assists with the development and delivery of department staff training.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and experience BA/BS or equivalent preferred 3-5 years of experience in related field preferred.
English proficiency, both written and verbal, required; Spanish and French, in addition, are preferred.
Knowledge of SAP or other ERP platforms is a plus.
Ability to work on cross-functional teams.
Ability to adapt to changing business processes, technologies, and environments.
Excellent organizational skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Visio.
Project management skills is a plus.
Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques (Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt, Lean, etc.)
Strong knowledge of SharePoint and Power BI is a plus.
Must be proactive and able to work with little or no supervision.
The ability to proactively and effectively communicate to all levels of management to clarify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
