Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Glass and Glazing Estimator to manage and execute the estimation process for new construction projects.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in interpreting architectural drawings and preparing accurate proposals.
This role is pivotal in driving successful project bidding and ensuring alignment with client requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Project Estimation: Analyze and interpret construction architectural drawings for commercial properties.
Prepare detailed and accurate project estimates for glass and glazing work.
Collaborate with management to review and finalize bids.
Proposal Development: Submit well-documented and priced proposals to management and customers.
Ensure proposals meet client specifications and budget requirements.
Project Management Support: Assist in coordinating with project managers to transition from estimation to execution.
Provide detailed cost breakdowns and clarifications as needed.
Client Interaction: Engage with clients to discuss project requirements and resolve queries.
Maintain strong client relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of bids, proposals, and project estimates.
Generate regular reports for management on bid statuses and success rates.
Qualifications: Required Skills: Proven experience in estimating for glass and glazing in new construction projects.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction architectural drawings.
Familiarity with software tools like Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, Procore, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice to Haves: Background in commercial property projects with budgets ranging from $10,000 to $1.5M USD.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
