Statutory Accountant

Descripción de la Plaza/nRole Description:
The statutory accountant has overall accountability for preparing the financial statements, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and external audit. Ability to work independently and assist the Statutory Accounting Supervisor on key financial and procedural issues, acting as key participant in timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, financial statement analysis, financial reporting and filing. Accountable for the integrity of accounting and financial reporting information.
Ideal Candidate:
• Certified Accountant
• 3-5 years of accounting related experience, including statutory accounting involvement
• Be familiar with a number of statutory accounting principles and requirements
• Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and practices, including US GAAP/IFRS and statutory accounting related compliance
• Multitask professional with strong work ethic with a drive to succeed
• Strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Must be fluent in English and/or Portuguese (native speakers are preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP (SAP preferable)
• Be able to communicate with local tax authorities and regulators

• Occasional travel will be required
