Overview: The Quest Enterprise Applications DevOps team is looking for a qualified candidate to help solve business problems using technology in a repeatable, secure, and efficient way. Each day offers new challenges as we work towards building a structured and automated ecosystem.
We look for a wide variety of skills and experience. The space we are supporting is extensive and ranges from Windows/Linux servers and Docker containers to serverless environments; Complex integrations between SaaS applications and on-premise systems; .NET and Java code to PowerShell and Ruby scripting. The exact tech experience is not as important as the understanding of principles and how to implement them.Responsibilities:
Strong background in system administration and/or engineering
Scripting/coding experience with at least one language (PowerShell, bash, Python, Ruby, C#, etc.)
Knowledge of web server configuration including IIS
Ability to design and implement highly available systems in a variety of ways
Understanding of DNS, IP, SSL certificates
Basic knowledge of networking and firewalls
Familiarity with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc.)
Experience with source control systems (git, svn, TFS, etc.)
Knowledge of CI/CD tools (TeamCity, Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.)
Working knowledge of cloud provider platforms and offerings (Azure, AWS)
Ability to troubleshoot advanced technical issues and find solutions
Experience with relational and non-relational databases
Qualifications:
Designing and maintaining highly available, secure systems
Configuration management of on-prem and cloud systems
Server and application performance and uptime monitoring
Ownership of build/release pipeline for a variety of applications
Working with the individual application owners to streamline the environment in support of development, SIT, and UAT.
Interact with Quest Product Engineering team in planning and support the SaaS operation
Apply security best practices across responsible systems
Be on call for any critical issues that may arise
